We use recycled paper wherever possible, in the office and in the bathrooms.
We use technology wisely; Also we use phone, text or email, to reduce use of paper.
We educate the team to switch off unnecessary lights and appliances when not using them. Some of our lights are now on sensor to reduce unnecessary wastage.
We turn the thermostat down - all our surgeries and decontamination room are on programmable timers. Times are temperatures are reviewed every month.
We use energy efficient bulbs wherever possible.
We recycle everything were possible. We have a blue recycle bin, also all cardboard within the practice is recycled.
We use local businesses rather than national chains where possible.
We fit the latest amalgam separating equipment to the surgery suction units, to reduce outward contamination.
We provide bus timetables. Encourage people to use public transport to get there (and be patient when they are late!).
We tell our patients what we are doing, and why and ask them for any other suggestions that can placed in our suggestion box (which is recycled from an old piano!)
